What we collect
- Account information: email address, display name
- Subscription/billing information: handled directly by Stripe — Dreamsbuzz does not store your full card details
- Usage data: which stories you listen to, how far you listen, saved/liked stories, quiz/pattern responses
- Device/technical data: standard web analytics (IP address, browser type, general location) via our hosting provider
Sensitive data note (important for GDPR)
Your quiz responses and listening patterns may reveal information about your emotional or psychological state. Under GDPR, this can be considered a special category of personal data. We collect this only to personalize your recommendations, we do not sell or share it with third parties for advertising, and you can request its deletion at any time (see “Your rights” below).
How we use your data
- To provide and personalize the app (recommendations, saved content, progress tracking)
- To process your subscription and billing (via Stripe)
- To send you service-related communications (e.g. trial ending reminders)
- With your separate consent, to send you marketing/promotional emails
Third parties we use
- Supabase (database and authentication hosting)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Cloudinary (audio/video/image hosting)
- Vercel (application hosting)
- Resend (marketing emails, only if you opt in)
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period after cancellation, unless you request earlier deletion.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in Slovenia: Information Commissioner, ip-rs.si)

Users outside the EU
Wherever you are located, we apply the same data protection standards described above (access, correction, deletion, export) as a baseline, and additional rights required by your local law where applicable — including but not limited to:
- California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have the right to know what personal data is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data. Dreamsbuzz does not sell personal data.
- Other jurisdictions: if your local law grants you rights beyond those listed here, we will honor them on request.

Taxes
Subscription prices may include or exclude tax (VAT/sales tax) depending on your location; this is calculated automatically at checkout via Stripe Tax based on your billing address.
Cookies
We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in and to run checkout. This section will be updated with specifics if analytics or marketing cookies are added later.
